Interior Designers are trained to see potential in a space.
Interior designers are highly trained when it comes to space planning. Ensuring your space works for its intended purpose, and for the people occupying it. A designer will be trained to ensure a space flows and furniture items fit. I always provide each design with a scaled floor plan to show a layout will work for you needs. I can assist in avoiding any costly mistakes in purchasing.
Finding the right pieces for your home is a tricky business, ensuring a sofa fits into a gap, a dining table has enough workable space around it, how high to hang a pendant light, the mistake of buying drawers only to realise you have not thought about the gap that is needed for them to open easily. An interior designer will think of each one of these issues and ensure your purchases work for your space.
Access to some amazing trade discounts
Interior designers get amazing trade discounts, and some are super generous and pass them on to their clients. You could get more for your money by buying a better quality item for your budget, or counterbalancing the trade discounts that would cover those designers fees.
Trade discounts include furniture items, paint and wall coverings, accessories and so on, just think how much could be saved on purchases alone.
Generous as ever and keeping within my ethos of affordability, I pass on all my discounts to my clients.
Can see potential in items you already own
Interior Designers don’t want you to spend money, we want to create amazing spaces that makes your heart sing, not ask you to part with all your hard-earned cash. Seeing potential in items you already own and incorporating them into your scheme if required, or if suitable. Unless you want to purchase all new, that would be discussed when we first meet in person or online. If I can save you some extra money, I will tell you!
I can also show you how that will look before you purchase a thing, by providing a visual of each area in all packages you can visualise what your space will look like beforehand. How handy is that?

Assist in defining your style.
Trends in interiors come and go regularly, but I don’t want to follow trends in your home. I want to design for you, as a family as a person. Style should be individual, and your home should be a flection of yourself and your loves, working for you and everyone it. I can assist you in realising what you do and don’t like and adding your personality into your space. We can help you decide what you do like and who you are; I won’t suggest leopard print wallpaper when you are a lover of nature.
As a designer I am highly trained and skilled in combining fabrics, colours, patterns, textures to create cohesive balance in spaces. Assisting with colour selections, and preventing those mistakes of realising the paint you just chose is a little too dark in the space due to the lack of natural light, and save you a lot on purchasing tester pot after tester pot.
